TRENTON -- Mayor John Bencivengo always says Hamilton is "America's Favorite Hometown" and he plastered signs all over Jersey's 9th-largest city to back up his statement.
We won't say Hamilton is "America's Most Corrupt Hometown" but Benci's lair just took an embarrassing punch to the gut after the U.S. Attorney Office's charged Bencivengo with taking $12,400 in bribes to steer insurance contracts to the township school district.
Last November Trentonian TV was on hand at Benci's bash after he won a second mayoral term. Reporter Sulaiman Abdur-Rahman interviewed the cheery fella minutes after the election results went official.
