AUDIO: Ex-cop says profiteering allegations are false

Bill McLaughlin (left) and Trenton Mayor Tony Mack (right)
TRENTON -- The ex-Trenton cop whose mission for several years has been to turn seedlings into productive citizens said allegations of him profiteering at his youth boxing gym are not true. Here is a 3-minute interview with Bill McLaughlin before Tuesday's City Council meeting. He said he would welcome the most thorough FBI investigation into any wrongdoings. His youth boxing club was shuttered Friday afternoon.

On March 20, McLaughlin was a guest on "Freedom" and talked about the hot mess Trenton's rec department has become on Mayor Tony Mack's watch. He called the rec department "a circus," leading some to believe that those comments also played a part in Friday's shutdown of the boxing facility. McLaughlin's appearance starts at the 13-minute mark. His "circus" comment takes place shortly thereafter.
