Vignettes from Vermont: Aimee's "Beauty and Despair" Hangs at Fiddlehead at Four Corners

BENNINGTON -- It arrived yesterday. Today "Beauty and Despair" hangs on a prominent panel inside Fiddlehead at Four Corners art gallery.

Why is Beauty and Despair hanging with other great artists such as Michalopolous and Kronick and Hewitt and Lepore and DeAmicis? Because we celebrate art of the highest order.

Aimee Ford Foster said she saw my April 21 photo of a sad ol' industrial building in Trenton's ill-faded "Hollywood East" lot in Chambersburg and was moved to pick up her paintbrush and dust off her easel for the first time in a very long time.

Aimee showed me updates every few weeks and then yesterday, four months after I snapped the photo, her original oil on canvas showed up in a box full of bubble wrap and packing peanuts (see post below). I was thrilled.

Beauty and Despair is an astounding piece of art. It now hangs with some of the best works in the world.
